Anyone has the potential to go into cardiac arrest, regardless of age, gender, time or place. In most situations, emergency services and first responders take 8-12 minutes to arrive, and minutes can often be the difference between saving a life and losing one. For every minute without CPR and defibrillation, the chance of survival drops by 10% and the use of an AED can buy time until emergency services arrive.
